The 2009-10 season was full of expectations, but the team was underacheving which led to the trades of Jamison, Butler, Haywood, and Stevenson along with McGuire. They have done so much to this organization and the community. This is a brief video that describes the Washington Wizards and what they have gone trough for 3 seasons. All those injuries plagued the wizards..but the 09-10 season, Wizards will be back at the top..We will become the Beast of the East! Janaury 22nd, 2012: The Celtics haven't been doing so well with the top tier teams, but they catch a break by playing the Washington Wizards. Rajon Rondo is still out and I don't know when he is coming back. And if things didn't look bad enought, Ray Allen got injured. He jammed his ankle trying to go through a screen. The game prior had MJ scoring just 6 due to injury which stopped his NBA-record double-figures scoring streak at 866 games. MJ came out to make up for that here. It should be mentioned that MJ's injury limited him to just 2 full-game scrimmages the entire year in practice. One must wonder, without the injury, what might have been possible at ages 38-40? Zone was allowed starting that year with hand-checking tighter than today as one-legged, twilight MJ broke a few records that day.

Wade played less than 3 minutes before dislocating his left index finger but avoided serious injury as the Heat lost 86-84 to the woeful Washington Wizards. A doctor reset Wade's finger, and X-rays were negative. ''I'm not going to cry about it,'' he said. ''When I was sitting on the table before they could put it back in, the worst-case scenario was surgery, and the best-case scenario was this. Obviously it will be sore for a couple of days, but I'll be ready to go when the playoffs start, for sure.'' The Heat fell two games behind the Chicago Bulls in the loss column in the race for the best record in the Eastern Conference, with only three games remaining. THE FACTS: Avery Bradley finished with a career-high 23 points, as the undermanned Boston Celtics cruised to a comfortable 88-76 win over the Washington Wizards. The 21-year-old guard started in place of the injured Ray Allen and set the tone for Boston from the opening tip on both ends of the floor. Bradley scored 19 of his 23 points in the first half, helping the Celtics open up a 25-point lead in the second quarter. The hybrid guard also helped to key a dominant defensive effort from Boston as Washington offense sputtered for most of the night, scoring just 24 points in the game's first 20 minutes. The putrid output put the visitors in a hole they were unable to climb out of. Boston cooled off offensively in the second half, only scoring 35 points, but the Wizards were unable to get any closer than eight points the rest of the way.
